Getting together with "family" is one of the highlights of the holiday season! Family and friends come in from far and wide for Thanksgiving and Christmas, making it a wonderful time to catch up with everyone. Nothing brings people together quite like the holidays!

Growing up, it was Christmas tradition to gather the family around in the days leading up to Christmas and watch "It's A Wonderful Life". Actually, we still enjoy getting together and watching it. Are there any Christmas "movies" that your family enjoys watching?

Have you ever smelled "frankincense"? Have you ever smelled myrrh? Did you know that when you combine the two and the scents mix it has a very pleasant smell. It's no wonder the wisemen brought these to Jesus as gifts.

On the list for today was "Christ's birth". So many times we get all carried away with the hustle and bustle of Christmas, the shopping, the parties, family, friends, giving, receiving, but we fail to remember what we are truly celebrated. Christmas is a time for us to celebrate when Christ was born, and the joy and hope that His birth means for all believers. He is the reason for the season.
Okay folks! We have arrived to Day 1 of the Holly Jolly Bingo! Listed below are the words for the day...
Well, hope all of you were able to get a few words crossed off today! One word I found interesting on this list was "yule log". How many of you know what a yule log is? I had no idea so decided to look it up. A "Yule Log" is a specially selected log burnt on a hearth around the period of Christmas. That's one of those Christmas traditions that is mostly unheard of nowadays. Do any of you still carry on this tradition? If so, leave a comment and tell us how you got started!

2. All list submissions must be received by MIDNIGHT (EST), Friday, December 11th.
3. Beginning Saturday, December 12th, I will post 12-15 randomly chosen words each day. Words will be posted around 8 am EST until the first person reaches BINGO!
4. Participants will want to check our Facebook or blog each and every day to find out what words were called and cross them off your list!
5. As soon as you have crossed off all 25 words, please leave a comment posting “BINGO!” I will double check your list to make sure it is a good bingo and will announce the winner on Facebook and the dulcimer guy blog. Even if someone has called “Bingo”, please continue to post “Bingo” until a winner is announced.
6. Multiple family members are welcome to play, just send me the separate lists for each of you.
