New Products!

We have recently come out with some new products on our website. Shortly after Matthew and I were married, we visited Song of the Wood music store in Black Mountain, NC and to make a long story short….the saleslady was using a duster than was no longer on the market. So we set out to recreate the duster and improve upon it. After 3 years of experimenting with different designs, we can up with a duster that really works well to grab the dust off the sound board quickly and efficiently. They are thin and lightweight, yet sturdy and durable. One of our customers emailed us back the next week after receiving hers and said,

“Just to let you know that I LOVE the duster! It is flat enough, heavy enough, and soft enough to very efficiently keep my dulcimer dust free.  I couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you for providing such a quality product.” -B. G.

Matthew has also been working on creating a fully-adjustable dulcimer stand for the past 6 months or so. He spent a couple of months brainstorming and coming up with drawings and designs. Finally he created his first prototype, and then his second and third and fourth, each time tweaking and perfecting different details about them. After getting some feedback from some of the best players in the country, he finally created a stand that is indeed FULLY- adjustable in a matter of seconds! You can use it sitting or standing, with a large dulcimer or a small one. It folds up flat and fits in the handle of the dulcimer case, so it’s easy to carry around with you. I am so proud of him. He ran into some roadblocks that probably would have stopped me in my tracks, but he pushed through and found the answers to his problems and now has a beautiful, functional stand to show for it. He saw a need on the market and sought to fill it, and this stand is the result.
